My Childhood Autumn.

Many moons ago,there lived a little boy in a little locality of a little town called Barrackpore.Being the only child of his parents he was bit of a pampered child,with loads of emotional vibrance..

He had a grandfather who was perhaps the dearest and most compromising of the guardian clan.He gave him enormous indulgence..and yet more of lucid love..
The autumns came as they always come..those first shivers of the northwind..and came the Durga-Puja..the merry drums..the crackers..and off he went with dear "dadu" on a rickshaw with an ambition of conquering Pandals..forcing him sometimes to buy him some"fuchka" or "ghugni" in spite of his frantic sermons on health..he grumbled but love is blind they say..and so he yielded..
Many autumns have passed since..the little boy is a software engineer now ..in the United States..and the "dadu" is no more..still the merry drums beat,and the merry crackers go pop..but he is no more a conquerer..an engineer now staring wide-eyed on the computer screen..
"Those were the days my friend,we thought they'd never end..
But they ended..I wonder can "dadu" see all these?Does he feel sorry for me?
